Themes are organized using lines to connect them where appropriate. The list below is embryonic, and relates to our ‘Wirral in focus’ sample below which is approximately in real size. 

Train lines Travel and transport derived ‘localities’
Water lines Maritime heritage
Grace lines Architectural connections urban environment
Scouse lines People, migration and ethnicity. Here we show Norse lines and placenames in green, Celtic in kaki and those of Anglo-Saxon origin in wine. These connect related places to the country of origin. (Domesday mentioned places in “quotes”)This theme motivated me to do research on local history and I posted a dedicated website last week here. I would urge you to have a look at this as it is central to the mission of your brief, (and would not exist without it).

My line Expression of ideas and conceptions of interested parties. For example I am working on a related site which seeks to illustrate how a major improvement could be made to the local rail network using the existing infrastructure. I interrupted that work to do this, but it did inspire my concept here, so have posted a fragment of the work here- (The only new line here is the airport spur!)
