The budget is for a setup without a computer supported vote processor. The cost of integrating such a system will depend on numerous factors. I believe a simple system (partly built from second hand components) could be incorporated for under £450.

Price indicated for glazing assumes a floor to ceiling glass panel 3.5 m high Since peepholes are concentrated in the 0.5m - 1.8 m range, upper glazing may be substituted for an alternative solution at a much lower cost.

Estimates include VAT where applicable

I have most of the tools required for assembly, (such as a stone tile cutting machine, as I work in property renovations) so there is a safety margin contingency factored into the installation costs.

Life time running costs are to be calculated when determining the choice of light fixtures.

Most of the estimated cost for adhesives is for an ultraviolet bonding lamp bulb (to fix lenses to glazing - around £110)

The bespoke elements are priced on a best estimate of a very limited number of suppliers and subject to revision.

Consultants fees (e.g. Health and Safety) are speculative. Insurance (if required) has not been researched

If it is helpful to you in securing a ceiling on the estimated budget (which are so often wide of the mark), I am prepared to agree a write down on the commission if costs breach an agreed limit. I believe that in sharing the cost of any budget overrun, I will have good reasons to deliver within budget, and help reassure your finance people too.
