Brief
Open Culture and the Liverpool Daily Post have launched a unique project to celebrate the impact Liverpool has had on the world. We are creating a map showing where the people of Merseyside think the boundaries of Liverpool really lie, geographically, historically and culturally. The map will highlight Liverpool's local, national and global influences, including the historical context, such as the 800th year anniversary boundary and where it all began with the original 6 streets.
The new map will be displayed in the Museum of Liverpool when it opens in 2010. It will have a prominent position on a free standing wall (height 3.5m, width 3m, with a depth of up to 1m floor space available in front of the wall).
