In situations where a dedicated road lane could not be sacrificed, a pathmaker vehicle ahead of the Mothercar might trigger traffic lights and clear a free path for swift passage of the Mothercar through bottlenecks. Following in the Amotion’s wake could be spaces leased to licensed car users, like doctors, to allow them a fastflow escort service through the city at a price. This should help ensure that the traffic throughput of intensively used roads is not excessively compromised by the operation of the Amotion. This may be achieved by electronically tagging licensed cars, and transmitting relevant information to them from the mother vehicle [e.g. fast flow space availability, its current price, remaining personal credits, time of next available slot, etc.]. Amotion’s would also be feasible on quiet roads that bypass bottlenecks but which are unsuitable for high volume traffic. Since the vehicles are without emissions and much quieter, their diversion onto smaller linkage roads may be acceptable in areas of light industry, commercial, or light residential land use. |
